DiamondPeak Studios first reached out to us in February 2023 after finding us through our Facebook page. They are a videography studio from New Zealand - that film, edit and produce videos for businesses and weddings. After just setting up their company, they were in need of a brand new logo in a very short time frame.

As they were our first international client, we were pretty stoked that our online reach had made it to as far as the other side of the planet. Immediately, we got to work following the design brief provided.

 

DiamondPeak's primary request for the logo was for it to include modern typography. They also wanted to showcase the 'DPS' made from their name and somehow correlate a design to a diamond. We focused heavily on the type of font we wanted to use. We wanted to use a clean, modern font but had to be sure that the font wasn't lacklustre. To accommodate this, a blinking star symbol was drawn over the typography as a reference to 'Diamond', which DPS was a big fan of.

The 'DPS' has been involved by inserting the fonts diagonally into a rotated square. This is to give the impression of a regular-shaped version of a diamond.

After some back-and-forth messages with the client and a few tweaks, we had a logo DPS were delighted with.
